Alumina Ceramic Lined Pipe: Superior Corrosion Resistance
Generally, alumina ceramic lined pipes can withstand various corrosive media and have excellent corrosion resistance, but they cannot resist strong oxidizing acid corrosion.
Alumina ceramic lined pipes are almost insoluble in organic solvents at room temperature.
The higher the temperature, the weaker the corrosion resistance; however, when the temperature does not exceed 60℃, it remains stable in 40% HNO3, 50% H2SO4, concentrated hydrochloric acid, and various concentrations of alkali and salt solutions.
Installation Considerations for Alumina Ceramic Lined Pipe
When installing alumina ceramic lined pipes, if using flexible pipes, ensure that both ends of the flexible pipe are adjusted symmetrically inside the connecting sleeve.
Because the expansion coefficient of the composite pipe is only about one-third of that of steel, meaning the expansion gap will reduce by 3-5MM, it is also important to ensure the end face of the composite pipe is flush with the end face of the flange when connecting flanges.
Alumina ceramic lined pipes have a very long service life, strong hardness, and toughness. However, during transportation and installation, it is essential to handle them with care, strictly avoiding collisions. In particular, ensure they do not come into contact with metal instruments.
Due to their high performance, alumina ceramic lined pipes can be connected by welding. It is recommended to use a 45°-60° "V" shaped bevel edge and perform intermittent welding with small currents, leaving no gaps during construction.
When installing alumina ceramic lined pipes, ensure that the center line of the alumina ceramic lined pipe is aligned with the center of the pipeline to ensure accurate connection of the two end faces. Additionally, ensure that the direction of the conveyed medium flow is consistent with the arrow direction, with the longer end serving as the exit direction.
